Umpiring
We will play by
normal MLB rules unless otherwise noted
There will be a
strike zone behind the plate made of PVC pipe and a sheet of aluminum, if a
pitched ball hits any part of the strike zone other than the legs it is a
strike. The strike zone can also be used as a catcher after a ball is hit
only in the case of a force out at home. This means if bases are loaded and
a ball is hit and the fielder throws it home and hits the strike zone before
the runner touches the plate the runner is out
3 strikes is an
out and 4 balls is a walk, if on a 3rd strike the player fouls
the ball off it is a foul unless it hits the strike zone and then it is an
out. The pitcher can throw as fast as he wants, unless there is a woman
batting. If there is a woman batting the pitcher must throw a slower pitch
and there are no walks for women
If the pitcher
hits a batter, it counts for two (2) balls
Fielders can peg
runners with the ball below the shoulders, any unsportsmanlike like conduct
could result in an ejection. Once the player is pegged, the ball is dead
There is no
infield fly rule
Sliding is not
allowed, if a player slides he is automatically out
Base runners may
not lead off from any base. Nor, may they steal at any time, runners may
leave their base only after the batter makes contact with the ball
All fair balls
hit over the designated homerun fence will be homeruns
Outs will be
called by the batting team. Honesty is a MUST!!
Foul and fair
balls will be determined by the bench of the batting team- Honesty is a
MUST!!
