MOPS stands for Mothers of Preschoolers, a program for moms with children from birth to 6 years of age. MOPS moms are not all the same age, but they are all in the same phase of life. These women are from many different lifestyles and backgrounds, but they all have similar needs and a shared desire to be the best mothers they can be. MOPS meetings provide encouragement, support, teaching and friendships. Moms have needs. Just because they take care of others doesn't mean they don't need some gentle care too. They need to know that mothering matters, and mothers matter. MOPS also gives a sense of belonging. In these relationships, moms reach out to each other with understanding and helpful gestures. Moms find answers for their simple, everyday dilemmas and discover a safe place to explore deeper principles.
